Where will people find the monies from ??? We are in a bad enough state as it is this would make thing’s much worse n we would have more DEATH’S , COME ON TALK A BIT OF SENSE…..

I heard this “story” yesterday and here it’s been taken out of context. The discussion was around missed appointments both at GPs and hospitals. People don’t cancel them and the wasted time costs the NHS (us, the public) hundreds of millions a year. The £20 charge for missed appointments was put forward, amongst many others, as a way of recouping some of the waste. Maybe you didn’t want to put it in its proper context as it wouldn’t suit your agenda.

if a significant number of people need food bank, girls cant afford sanitary protection, people going without food to feed heir kids , then people will not be able to afford to pay for GP care, but also many others who are just above the tax credit level and have next to no disposable income

The benefit recipients are those that probably use the NHS most, they should be the ones fee exempt? What about people with chronic conditions?
