Tories pledge ‘unprecedented’ support for fossil fuels after £400K bung from oil bosses

You can bet Britain will be burning fossil fuels longer than necessary because the Tories are handed bungs from oil bosses.  To hell with pollution.

Yet the Tories go wild that Labour is funded by unions which consist of everyday workers wanting a fair deal.

This is what the people of Britain need, energy from any source has to be a good thing to keep our industries running at a profit. The people of this country would be stupid to vote for ‘greeny’ Corbyn, it will cost them. May, offers a better way to improve our life with deals like this and ensure our prosperity.

    • It would be preferably for electricity to be generated from renewable sources rather than those which cause damage to the environment. To pledge support for a industry in response to large donations wreaks of corruption. They did exactly the same with tobacco for years. Yes they are great money earners but not so great for people’s health.

Well there will always be collateral damage, but this one of the sacrifices we must make for the creation of wealth, we didn’t get to be the worlds 5th largest economy by pussy footing around the health of the workforce or public. This government justifiably requires donations from corporate bodies to further the cause; so what, if individuals have an interest in it, it benefits corporates, shareholders & the administration. You’d soon be complaining if your share dividends stopped coming in! This is one off the reasons it will be only to the good to remove us from the ridiculous restrictive EU judiciary and Human Rights imposed on us by the EEC. We can then bin all the nonsense about working rights, health & safety, pollution etc and put the money into worthwhile projects while consigning these dangerous political activist to jail where they belong. It’s about time these troublesome labourites wised up and recognized the truth, instead of cadging from the state and propagating the welfare holiday.

Making wallets thicker at the expense of life is fundamentally wrong. There are other ways to make wallets thicker.

        Response:
Workers do not like their rights being dictated by party donors.

Tory donor Adrian Beecroft (and Sir Anthony Bamford) called for workers’ rights to be slashed in dossiers for David Cameron when he was Prime Minister. In 2012 the Tory leadership invited Beecroft to draw up Tory employment policy for them. What Beecroft came back with was nothing short of a corporate wishlist of pro-business anti-worker regulations, including proposals to introduce sack-at-will legislation, to restrict access to unfair dismissal claims and slash awards that are made to those that are not excluded entirely, to create immunity from prosecution for employers that hire illegal immigrants and to remove carry-over legislation to allow new owners of businesses to rid themselves of long established workers.

Previously David Cameron worked himself up into a fit of faux outrage at the fact that the Labour party are mainly funded by the trade unions. There was a man who knows too well that his own political party is almost entirely funded through vast donations from the wealthy and privileged, ranting on about the fact that the Labour party are funded through small donations from millions of working people.

Ironically David Cameron said in 2006 “We’ve got to stop this perception that parties can somehow be bought by big donations either from very rich people, or trade unions, or businesses.”

        Response:
For the moment Theresa May has put on hold her wish to leave the European Convention of Human Rights. 3 percent of UK Human Rights cases were related to terrorism. It’s worth remembering that the only reason the families of Hillsborough victims won their case was because of Human Rights legislation. They were part of the 97% who no-one should argue against.

This Government tried to change the law so that disabled people could not use the Human Rights legislation after a couple won their case against the UK Government at the Supreme Court.

Rights exist to prevent the unscrupulous taking advantage of people.

        Brian’s comment:
“We can then bin all the nonsense about working rights, health & safety, pollution etc…”

        Response:
As we stated above workers do not like their rights being interfered with. As members of the HSA we are informed about all companies who are prosecuted for breaches of Health and Safety. Every case is extremely serious. A well-known food manufacturer was recently prosecuted because they failed to ensure a potato cutting machine was safe for the worker to use before he lost his hand to it. Health and safety laws encourage companies to protect their employees but rightly penalise any company failing to protect workers against danger. Most workers in the UK want such protections. On pollution we cannot treat our planet like a waste bin whether for profit or otherwise. People need to breathe. These are the effects of air pollution: http://www.mass.gov/eea/docs/dep/air/aq/health-and-env-effects-air-pollutions.pdf

I fully expected excuses, but you know, as I do, that these are false arguments for perfectly legitimate cuts that only scroungers object to. The Daily Mail and the BBC have almost daily occurrences of examples of abuse of these these ‘Human’ rights by immigrants claiming to be asylum seekers. Take left wing reports of people dying as a result of benefit cuts, it’s rubbish, or it would have come to light by now and been on the news. Talk about the truth, like the propaganda being spread saying hospitals are short of money, they have been given everything they asked for and more, yet complain that it’s not their fault when waiting times aren’t met. As for the police, even Corbyn admitted police numbers would not have influenced the Manchester incident. Theresa May has told us she is committed to these issues and making life better for everyone, not that ‘everyone’ deserves it, so why should we not believe her, she is after all a Prime Minister, and deserves respect.

This graph shows the number of times the word ‘scrounger’ has been used per year since 1994 showing an obvious rise in 2010 after the coalition came to power: https://d.pr/2iowcd

It may interest you to learn the Daily Mail is owned by a Tory donor and as such their outlet will only contain pro Conservative views. The BBC in fact has also donated money to the Conservative party.

A UK broadcaster would fear losing its broadcast licence. There is a clause which states the broadcaster must not transmit anything which may cause mass panic.

Instead we can name three coroners who ruled the DWP played a key role in the death of their client. These were reported by smaller outlets. Coroner Michael Oakley said the DWP benefits assessment was key to the death of Nick Barker. Coroner Andrew Haigh concluded the death of Tim Salter was mostly caused by the DWP who drastically reduced his benefit. Coroner Mary Hassell found that the trigger for Michael O’Sullivan‘s suicide was his recent assessment by a DWP doctor as being fit for work. Feel free to Google them.

      Response:
We agree there are many cases where NHS money is not spent correctly. However in real terms the NHS has faced a funding cut. The problem is split between NHS and social care. People are living longer but increasingly rely on the NHS and social care.

      Brian’s comment:
“As for the police, even Corbyn admitted police numbers would not have influenced the Manchester incident.”

      Response:
We feel this is the role of security services rather than police.
It’s too soon to say whether the “Snoopers Charter” will assist with this in future.
24 hours before the bombing there was a tweet which warned of a bombing at the Arena and it also mentioned ISIS.
The Arena stated the location of the explosion was a public area and not their responsibility.
Most certainly it’s something which needs looking at with a view to future prevention.

There is no place for terrorism. You may know / or be interested to learn one of the world’s most wanted terrorists is now a Tory councillor. https://endpropaganda.wordpress.com/2017/05/21/former-active-ira-member-now-tory-councillor/

      Response:
Rightly or wrongly the way people treat a Prime Minister would depend on how that Prime Minister’s political party had treated such people.

Well, thanks for the replies, I’m embarrassed, I have looked at the links you gave, and others, and have to agree that all is not what it seemed. If all I have seen, from these sources is verifiable, which it seems to be, we are being taken for mugs by the Tory Party. I will have to reconsider my choices come polling day.
