Ben is a 10 year old little boy who suffers from Spastic diplegia cerebral palsy. He needed an operation to live a pain free, longer & better quality of life. Due to Tory funding cuts however the NHS cancelled his surgery just a week prior to his admission date.
Ben was incredibly lucky when an anonymous donor paid for him to have his surgery in an NHS hospital. It was at that point however that the NHS made the decision to not fund any of Ben’s treatment for his rehabilitation following the surgery. His parents were told NHS England no longer had a duty of care for him.
Ben’s family are now fundraising his rehabilitation following the spinal surgery.
