The Prime Minister has returned to London this afternoon to hold a press conference and tell the media what he has learned from his tour of the floods in Somerset. It’s not the first time he’s “learned” things from flood visits.

On 18 December 2009, six months before he became Prime Minister, Cameron visited the town of Dumfries which had been hit by flooding, killing a police officer. He had this to say:
