Pre 2010 General Election – Cameron: “It is the next big scandal waiting to happen, the far-too-cosy relationship between politics, government, business and money. We all know how it works. The lunches, the hospitality, the quiet word in your ear, helping big business find the right way to get its way. We must be the party that sorts all this out.”
So what exactly have you done to sort the problem out then Mr Cameron. We know you’ve handed a record number of peerages to Tory donors since becoming Prime Minister in 2010 but that’s you doing the opposite of what you said you would do.
As Lynton Crosby advised you to attack welfare spending once a day we thought we’d take the opportunity to remind people that you claim expenses to pay for your mortgage and get away with it. That’s public money paying for something which you can afford to pay for yourself. Yet you have the audacity to try and fool the public into thinking all the money is going on welfare. You hire a photographer to take on holiday with you for those vanity photos yet you neglected to inform the taxpayer in your advert that they are paying for the photographer, not you. All that public money going to waste and we still haven’t scratched the surface yet. The taxpayer-subsidised booze in the Parliament bars. The sex parties deserve a mention, don’t they?
